The Wisconsin Adult Center serves adults who have disabilities. Our program works with individuals who have developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injury and advanced age clientele. Our mission is to create a better quality of life for all of our members through our compassion and dedication.
Our program is built around member’s individual needs and wants. Provided is a structured schedule with stimulating activities, at the same time strongly believing in self advocacy. Our program offers activities such as Life skills, art, music, communication, recreation, community involvement and sensory integration.
Having a combination of appropriate activities geared towards each individual and a soothing environment creates a more efficient program. It's our goal to strive to improve each members quality of life, enhance learning capabilities, decrease negative behaviors and make each member's day enjoyable. Staff uses proactive and reassuring methods to help members succeed.
At the Wisconsin Adult Center we have a unique program that suits the needs of each member. Our program is our member’s program, they guide us in creating the program that best suits them.
For individuals looking to change current day programs, switching from a work environment or first time day program attendee's. Wisconsin Adult Center offers 1-2 day FREE trial days. This is a great way to ensure our program is a good fit for any potential member.
*Trial days are used for assessment of the individual. Outings, Music Therapy and Art Therapy will not be offered during trial days.
